Job Overview
The Shuttle Driver transports guests to and from the hotel, hospital or casino and surrounding areas in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner. The role includes assisting guests with luggage, maintaining vehicle activity and maintenance logs, and ensuring safe driving practices.
Responsibilities- Shuttle guests to approved destinations and return them to the requested location.
- Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure.
- Maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs accurately.
- Inspect the exterior and interior of the vehicle before each shift for proper operation of lights, tires, air conditioning, mirrors, and other safety equipment.
- Monitor vehicle condition, record any malfunctions or damage, and report them to management.
- Communicate courteously by telephone, two‑way radio and in person with guests, location staff and coworkers.
- Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements and safeguard client financial and identifying information.
- Operate a vehicle that seats up to fifteen people, including a manual transmission vehicle.
- Check wheelchairs for safe operation before each use, clean them after each use, and assist patrons with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Follow all safety and driving practices and, when required, use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum age of 21 years, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass a criminal background check, MVR, drug screen and other client requirements.
- One to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Basic proficiency in written and spoken English, including reading and writing standard correspondence and memos.
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of numbers up to 999 and use of American currency).
- Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems and applicable rates.
- Completion of Towne Park’s Wheelchair Safety Training course.
- Possession of a current Medical Examiner Certificate and ongoing biometric medical exams as required.
Schedule:
6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Compensation: $15.00 to $18.50 per hour plus tips.
