AECOM is seeking a qualified and experienced Transportation Asset Manager to support the development and implementation of Transportation Asset Management Plans (TAMPs) for State Departments of Transportation. This role requires a strong engineering background, deep knowledge of transportation infrastructure, and familiarity with federal asset management requirements under MAP‑21 and the FAST Act. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping DOTs manage transportation assets strategically, improve performance outcomes, and ensure long-term sustainability of infrastructure investments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead or contribute to the development of federally‑compliant TAMPs for state DOTs.
- Conduct engineering analysis of transportation assets including pavements, bridges, and ancillary infrastructure.
- Evaluate asset condition data and develop performance targets and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with DOT staff, consultants, and stakeholders to align asset management practices with agency goals.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Support risk management, lifecycle cost analysis, and financial planning activities.
- Stay current with FHWA regulations, engineering standards, and asset management technologies.
