At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Murrieta, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Murrieta, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Murrieta, CA
- Schedule: 5 sessions a week; 1 hour and 15 mins per session
- Rate is between $25 and $35 per hour
- Warm, bubbly, and engaging personality.
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental differences.
- Familiarity with ABA principles and AAC communication.
- Skilled at redirection, behavior support, and maintaining engagement.
- Creative and patient in adapting lessons to meet the student's interests (music, puzzles, Disney characters, sensory play).
- Able to foster independence and confidence through repetition and play-based learning.
- Deliver individualized instruction aligned with a teacher-provided learning packet, focusing on:
- Writing (e.g., name writing, letter formation)
- Early math (number identification, counting, basic operations)
- Literacy (letter recognition, phonemic awareness)
- Fine motor and coloring within lines
- Incorporate speech and communication goals throughout lessons.
- Utilize AAC device during sessions to model and encourage communication.
- Provide hands-on, sensory-friendly activities and maintain a structured, consistent routine.
- Use redirection and positive reinforcement to sustain focus and motivation.
- Track progress and communicate regularly with caregivers and therapy team as appropriate.
