Job Summary

A well‑established construction organization in Murrieta, CA seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. The role involves working closely with ownership, project managers, and operational leaders to improve financial performance, strengthen controls, and support profitable project delivery.

• Lead all accounting and finance functions, including month‑end close, year‑end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Oversee construction accounting processes, including job costing, WIP schedules, percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition, project profitability analysis, and cost‑to‑complete reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, general ledger activity, cash flow forecasting, and project cost monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll reporting, subcontractor compliance, labor regulations, bonding requirements, insurance reporting, and audit support.
• Partner with project managers and operations leaders to review budgets, costs, change orders, project performance, and opportunities to improve profitability.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, financial procedures, and process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting visibility.

• Salary range: $150,000 to $165,000 per year.
