The BANKING COMPLIANCE BSA ANALYST PART-TIME is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Maintain current knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations to ensure compliance.
- Conduct due diligence on potential money laundering risks and report concerns to the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Manager.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable banking regulations to perform assigned duties.
- Ensure all actions comply with consumer protection standards and avoid misleading, unfair, deceptive, or abusive practices.
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, accountability, and respect while upholding the Bank's values.
- Review and monitor reports, logs, and transaction activity to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
- Escalate potential concerns, including check kiting, structured cash deposits, significant balance changes, certificate of deposit purchases, wire transfers, ACH transfers, monetary instrument sales, and new account openings, to the BSA Officer or Compliance Manager.
- Assist with the maintenance and ongoing updates of the Bank's BSA/AML software program.
- Previous experience working with Nasdaq Verafin software is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of general banking or regulatory agency experience, with an emphasis on BSA compliance, is preferred.
- Familiarity with all functional areas of banking.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of general banking compliance regulations and laws.
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, products, services, and activities.
- Basic knowledge of lending-related activities and products.
