Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Murrieta, CA. In this role, you will monitor the collections status of all client accounts and conduct collection calls to delinquent accounts, prepare regular analyses of the A/R aging and collections status of client accounts.

• Analyze delinquent accounts and make necessary collection calls, and emails to ensure maximum efforts have been taken to collect receivables.
• Review A/R aging reports and other collection reports to prioritize clients and collections efforts on outstanding balances.
• Monitor high volume client portals for scheduled payments, and invoice status.
• Adhere to department process for rejected, delayed and missing invoices.
• Work with the Credit and Collections Manager to determine additional collections actions on challenging accounts.
• Review contracts to understand payment terms and identify potential reasons for payment delays.
• Assist the Credit and Collections Manager in the formulation of collection policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by supervisor.

• Attendance at work during normal business hours.

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Current experience with a fully integrated financial system such as Deltek or Highradius.
• Ability to sort, perform calculations, count, and verify numbers.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
• Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.

• Education:
  
  Associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of 3 years working as a collections analyst (or in an accounts receivable position) for a similarly sized company in the commercial building construction management industry is required.
