Job Details
• Outpatient pediatric OT setting focused on feeding disorders and general developmental occupational therapy,
• 4x10 schedule, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (Wednesday off), 8:00 AM-6:30 PM (patient care hours 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, with start/end times subject to ~30-minute variation for documentation),
• 20-week contract,
• Common diagnoses include Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Oral Aversion, Dysphagia, ARFID, Failure to Thrive, Autism, Developmental Delay, Fine Motor Delay, Sensory Processing Difficulties, and varied genetic and developmental diagnoses,
• Patient population primarily ages 18 months and older (experience with ages 8 months and older preferred),
• No on-call requirements; potential for call-off based on patient census,
• Charting via Epic (non-billable modules),
• Orientation and training at an alternate facility location for the first 1-2 weeks,
• Free parking available for travelers,
Job Requirements
• Active OT license required - CA license preferred; candidates licensed in another state may utilize the 60-day rule to practice in CA while obtaining their CA license and must be willing to pursue it upon offer (license required if applicable),
• Minimum 1.5 years of OT experience,
• NBCOT certification required,
• BLS (AHA) required,
• Experience in the assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties required,
• Experience with patients ages 18 months and older required; ages 8 months and older preferred,
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program, OR Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program if graduated prior to 2004,
• Ability to independently evaluate and treat a full caseload with primary referral diagnosis of pediatric feeding disorder,
• Experience with swallowing disorders preferred,
• Children's hospital experience preferred but not required,
• Experience in pediatric general developmental OT,
• Must be located outside the facility's local area (local candidates not accepted),

• Assess and treat pediatric patients with feeding, eating, and swallowing difficulties, with opportunity for general pediatric developmental OT coverage,
• Facility is a nationally recognized Top 10 Best Children's Hospital (U.S. News & World Report), Magnet Recognized, Beacon Award recipient, and a Level 1 Trauma, teaching facility,
• Any scrub color is acceptable,
• Maximum of 6 days of RTO permitted for the duration of the contract; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,
