Massage Therapist

Job Summary

The Massage Technician provides high-quality massage therapy services to spa guests in a professional, relaxing, and hygienic environment. This role focuses on client comfort, safety, and satisfaction while supporting the spa’s service standards and wellness goals.

• Provide massage services such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal (if certified), and other spa-approved treatments
• Consult with clients before sessions to understand needs, preferences, and any health considerations and complete client consent form
• Maintain a clean, safe, and calming treatment room before and after each session
• Follow all spa protocols, sanitation standards, and local health regulations
• Recommend appropriate services or products based on client needs (without pressure)
• Maintain accurate client records and session notes as required
• Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and respect for client privacy at all times
• Assist with spa opening/closing duties as assigned
• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings

• Valid massage therapy license/certification (as required by state or local law)
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to create a calm, welcoming experience for clients
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn new techniques and spa services

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., linens, supplies)
