We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Educational Sign Language Interpreter to join a school-based team in Temecula, California. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high school student by facilitating communication and ensuring full access to classroom instruction, activities, and school participation.

Position DetailsPosition: Educational Sign Language Interpreter (ASL)
Location: Temecula, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Hours: 32.5 Hours per Week
Contract Length: 6 Months
Start Date: August 12, 2026
Grade Level: High School
Interpret classroom instruction using American Sign Language (ASL)
Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers
Support student participation in classroom discussions and activities
Promote an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Collaborate with educational staff to support student success
Pay Rate: $40/hour
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,300/week

Minimum requirements:- Proficiency in American Sign Language
- Associates degree or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field, preferred
- State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
- Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification ( as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
