Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Program Planning Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Murrieta, CA within the food and beverage production industry. This role is ideal for a planning, supply chain, warehouse operations, or inventory coordination professional who enjoys solving problems, working cross-functionally, and helping ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

The Program Planning Coordinator will support high-level planning activities, monitor sales orders, coordinate inventory availability, and communicate with warehouse, production, quality control, logistics, supply chain, and sales teams. This position offers the opportunity to build hands‑on experience in a fast-paced production and distribution environment with supportive teams, strong operational visibility, and opportunities to contribute directly to customer satisfaction and waste reduction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor sales orders, product availability, and inventory readiness to support smooth order fulfillment and customer demand planning.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, shipping, quality control, logistics, sales, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and keep orders moving.
  • Support inventory allocation, FIFO rotation, product age monitoring, and risk identification to help reduce waste and avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assist with planning and communicating production priorities, order picking direction, and shipment readiness to warehouse and operations teams.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound activity with carriers and logistics teams based on distribution center capacity and product availability.
  • Identify potential inventory risks in a 0 to 10 day planning window and communicate solutions to minimize disruptions or financial loss.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $23 per hour.
  • Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Weekend Requirement:
    Must be able to commit to working 1 Saturday per month from home, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with flexibility to work longer if needed.
  • Additional Weekend Requirement:
    Must be available to work 2 hours on Sunday to prepare for the week.
  • On the week scheduled for weekend work, the employee may choose one regular workday to leave 4 hours early.
