Role Description The West Coast Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in The LA area. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing bar feeders and related automation equipment at customer facilities across the West Coast region. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs to ensure machines operate safely and efficiently.

The technician will travel to customer sites, conduct field service visits, document work performed, and communicate clearly with customers about equipment status, service recommendations, and follow-up needs. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams for parts ordering and technical support, maintaining accurate service records, and representing Edge Technologies in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills to support CNC lathes and bar feeding equipment.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues efficiently.
• Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site installations, maintenance, and travel to customer locations.
• Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
• Experience with CNC machinery, industrial automation, or manufacturing equipment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical or electrical drawings.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel within the West Coast region, and ability to lift and work with industrial equipment as required.
• Relevant technical training or certification (e.g., in mechanics, mechatronics, or industrial maintenance) is preferred.
