Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Murrieta, CA. The technician will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance visits, responding to service calls, troubleshooting system issues, and recommending appropriate solutions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The role also involves communicating clearly with customers, explaining findings and options, completing service documentation, and adhering to company and regulatory safety standards. Technicians may assist with installations, support training initiatives, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC systems and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience with maintenance & repair of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on a variety of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants and compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC is preferred.
- Knowledge of local building codes and HVAC industry standards.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with the ability to work on-site in various customer locations.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, work in confined spaces or at heights, and follow all safety procedures.
- Prior experience as an HVAC service technician or in a closely related field is strongly preferred.
