About The Role
The Senior Tax Manager oversees all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax laws, and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency. The role is integral to a small team focused on leading client engagements and delivering excellent service to valued clients.
Key Responsibilities- Work in all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research.
- Engage directly with sophisticated high net worth and UHNW clients, using superior communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Leverage tax software with CCH Tax, Practice, and Engagement.
- Demonstrate knowledge of prevailing tax laws and developments.
- Mentor and develop team members through training, delegation, and leadership support.
- Apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements and industry‑specific concerns to clients, recommending strategies.
- Prepare various tax returns, including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate returns.
- Be proactive, self‑motivated, well‑organized, and manage work effectively with others while sustaining client relationships.
- Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team.
- Maintain superior attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA.
- At least 7+ years of experience in a CPA firm.
- Experience with tax preparation and accounting.
- Experience in public accounting strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to professionally engage with high net worth clients, verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with MS Office and tax software.
- Experience with compiled and reviewed financial statements.
- Experience with Click Up, CCH/Engagement, and Quick Books.
Competitive salary range $120,000 – $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance bonus at the discretion of the company and potential long‑term incentive program subject to role scope and performance.
Preferred as an in‑office role in Murrysville, PA office 5 days per week; a hybrid arrangement may be available following successful onboarding and demonstrated performance.
