Home Visit Team Member

Stipend: $1,350 - payable per stipend schedule
Summary:
Home Visit Team members develop and implement school-based plans with students and families to increase school success and attendance. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the investment of additional time outside of his/her regular work schedule/hours to satisfactorily meet the expectations of the position. The duties in this position will require the incumbent to be able to travel to different locations in the Commonwealth.
Duties
- Conduct home visits for students who are at risk.
- Work with the school leadership team, plan and implement a family/community partnership-friendly school climate.
- Develop programs and activities designed to engage families and the community in order to improve student achievement.
- Plan these in collaboration with an action team of families, school staff, parent organizations, business-community partners, and community members.
- Assist teachers/staff, families, and community partners to develop strong partnerships and enhance communication between parents/families and school staff.
- Nurture relationships with school staff, parents, volunteers, and community partners, including local churches, schools, and service providers.
- Work with principals and teachers to maintain accurate data on volunteers, community programs, and parent engagement initiatives/outreach.
- Establish and plan student home/community work days.
- Serve as a resource to parents and community members regarding community agencies, events, and activities.
Knowledge and experience in building community partnerships. Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of proficiency using technology efficiently as a time management and organizational tool. Ability to create and maintain strong community collaborations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
