Tax Specialist

Overview

To ensure full compliance with tax regulations by managing indirect and direct tax obligations, optimising tax processes, and maintaining effective liaison with tax authorities.

• Prepare, review, and submit VAT, excise, and customs returns on time
• Ensure accurate tax accounting and reconciliation
• Monitor tax law changes and assess business impact
• Liaise with tax authorities on audits, queries, and assessments
• Advise business teams on tax implications of transactions and contracts
• Handle VAT structuring, exemptions, and cross-border transactions
• Strengthen internal controls for tax compliance
• Support tax automation and process improvement initiatives

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in taxation (preferably indirect tax)
• Strong exposure to VAT, excise, and customs regulations
• Experience dealing with tax authorities (audits, queries, disputes)
• Knowledge of direct tax compliance and planning
• Familiarity with ERP systems and tax compliance tool
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret complex tax regulations
• Strong organisational and multitasking ability
• High integrity and professional conduct
• Age: 25–35 years
