Responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the bank's risk management, internal controls, governance processes, and operational efficiency. The role acts as the "third line of defense," helping the board of directors, audit committee, and senior management protect the Bank by identifying risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and recommending enhancements.
Lead Auditor conducts risk-based audits across various banking areas including financial operations from planning to completion and execute assigned work as per scope, review of audit working papers of audit team and prepare audit reports.
- sPlan and Execute Audits:
Develop risk-based audit plans and scope for individual audits, and perform fieldwork to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures - .Evaluate Risks and Controls:
Identify, assess, and test key risks in areas such as, liquidity, operational processes, regulatory compliance and financial reporting - .Conduct Fieldwork:
Examine financial records, transactions, and operational activities; interview staff; review documentation; and test controls for compliance with scope of work and audit plan including ensuring compliance with regulations, bank policies, and industry standards. Further, to ensure risks are adequately covered and tasks assigned are completed efficiently within the provided timeline - .Documentation:
For each audit ensure that internal audit methodology is followed and work performed is adequately documented and Teammate is timely updated - .Prepare Reports:
Document findings, draft clear and concise audit reports with recommendations for improvements, agree with stakeholders on observation and obtain management response on recommendation - .Follow-Up on Findings:
Track management's responses to audit recommendations, verify remediation of issues for closure, and report on outstanding exceptions - .Support Special Projects:
Participate in investigations, fraud reviews, advisory consultations, or ad-hoc projects - .Ensure Independence and Objectivity:
Adhere to professional standards (e.g., Institute of Internal Auditors' Standards) and maintain independence in all audit activities - .Assist the senior audit manager and Head of Financial Audit to ensure that annual audit plan is met and perform duties necessary to achieve the internal audit objectives
- .Contribute to Continuous Improvement:
Recommend enhancements to audit methodologies, processes, and bank-wide controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fiel - d.CFA, CIA, ACCA or other relevant professional certifications is a plu
