SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Unit Head - Transaction Banking is responsible for leading the strategy, growth, and end‑to‑end delivery of transaction banking services, including cash management, payments, and trade finance. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, enhancing client experience, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering innovative, technology‑driven solutions to corporate and institutional clients. The role holder will also lead cross‑functional collaboration to position the Bank as a leading provider of transaction banking solutions in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy Development & Execution
    • Define and implement the Transaction Banking strategy aligned with the Bank’s overall Corporate Banking and growth objectives.
    • Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive positioning to enhance the Bank’s transaction banking offerings.
    • Develop and execute business plans to expand product penetration and increase market share.
  • Revenue Growth & Financial Performance
    • Drive revenue generation through effective pricing strategies, product optimization, and cross‑selling initiatives.
    • Achieve assigned financial targets including fee income, CASA growth, and transaction volumes.
    • Monitor profitability of transaction banking products and optimize cost‑to‑income ratios.
  • Product Management & Innovation
    • Oversee the development, enhancement, and lifecycle management of transaction banking products including cash management, payments, and trade finance.
    • Ensure products remain competitive, customer‑centric, and aligned with market needs.
    • Lead the introduction of innovative and digital solutions to enhance product capabilities and client experience.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate and institutional clients.
    • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through efficient service delivery and tailored solutions.
    • Support relationship managers in structuring transaction banking solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Lead and support sales initiatives to acquire new clients and expand existing client portfolios.
    • Work closely with Corporate Banking teams to drive product penetration and cross‑selling opportunities.
    • Participate in client meetings, pitches, and strategic discussions to position the Bank’s offerings effectively.
  • Digital Transformation & Process Optimization
    • Champion digital banking initiatives, automation, and process improvements within transaction banking.
    • Collaborate with IT and Digital teams to implement innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Drive straight‑through processing (STP) and reduce manual interventions across processes.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Omani Nationals Only
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of banking experience, with at least 5 years in Transaction Banking or Corporate Banking roles.
