Responsibilities
- Full spectrum of financial management including financial reporting, bookkeeping, treasury, VAT compliance, project cost accounting, budget management and external audit coordination, aligned with IFRS, Oman VAT Law and IMA financial management principles.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts:
Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. - Maintain accurate, complete general ledger records for both entities in accordance with IFRS; process all accounting transactions (journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, period‑end adjustments) correctly and on schedule and enforce month‑end and year‑end closing disciplines.
- Manage client invoicing, payment collections and maintain receivables ledger, aged debtor analysis and cash receipt records in the ERP system.
- Process and approve vendor, subcontractor and supplier invoices in strict accordance with Group Authority Matrix and Delegation of Authority framework.
- Manage all bank accounts and banking facilities, monitor the Group's daily cash position and ensure adequate liquidity to meet project payment obligations, payroll and vendor commitments.
- Lead the Group‑wide annual budget preparation process, issue guidelines and templates to all Heads of Department.
- Monitor actual financial performance against the approved annual budget on a monthly basis.
- Manage all VAT obligations: prepare quarterly VAT returns, submit to Oman Tax Authority by statutory deadline, manage VAT payments and maintain complete VAT records and supporting documentation.
- Project cost accounting and margin performance monitoring.
- External audit coordination and statutory financial compliance.
- Implement, maintain and monitor financial controls in accordance with Group Authority Matrix, Delegation of Authority framework and Internal Audit recommendations.
- Oversee payroll financial oversight and staff cost management.
- ERP finance module administration and data integrity.
- Financial risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Qualified CA or ICWA.
- 15–20 years of Finance and Accounts experience in construction, project‑based or engineering services companies.
- Preferably worked in Oman and familiar with local laws and regulations.
