To lead the development and execution of the Investor Relations and Stakeholder Management strategy ensuring transparent, consistent and timely communication with investors, analysts and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for managing key capital market disclosures, overseeing investor engagement initiatives and providing strategic insights to senior leadership, thereby enhancing the company’s market reputation, investor confidence and long‑term shareholder value.

The position will act in accordance with the OQEP’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as policies, guidelines and international standards supported by an IT technology platform, HSE standards, Omani government regulations and other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Regular external reporting activities.
  • Support the Head of IR & ESG in preparing the company’s key messages and ensuring that data required by financial markets is provided in a clear and concise manner on a timely basis, including all regulatory announcements and disclosures.
  • Work with external IR advisory consultancy and the internal OQEP team to ensure all capital market related press releases are produced on schedule.
  • Maintain the Investor Relations section of the corporate website and prepare other collateral and presentations, including the annual report and investor packs, to support analyst and investor outreach.
  • Investor targeting and analyst outreach.
  • Prepare competitor and peer‑group analyses.
  • Identify shareholders and bondholders, including supporting external bondholder and shareholder identification service providers.
  • Develop an annual investor targeting programme and the annual calendar of IR engagement plans to provide regular contact with principal bondholders, shareholders and potential bondholders and shareholders.
  • Prepare capital market communications literature and presentations, slide‑show packs and roadshow materials.
  • Support periodic investor sessions, non‑deal roadshows, capital markets day investor meetings and ad‑hoc analyst and investor tours, ensuring supporting materials are prepared as necessary.
  • Maintain regular contact with buy‑side and sell‑side analysts, including responding to ad‑hoc queries.
  • Ongoing management of IR activities.
  • Prepare a share‑price monitoring report and monitor analyst forecasts, comparing them with the company’s own forecasts; monitor analyst research reports on the company and its peers.
  • Prepare an annual plan and budget for the IR function.
  • Maintain a database of all investor broker contacts.
  • Support the execution of the Debt Capital Market IR programme.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the rating agency.
  • Liaise with external stakeholder events and programmes including investor conferences, conference calls and roadshows.
  • Coordinate information gathering from multiple sources on key drivers behind the numbers and agree on comments to be incorporated into reports.
  • Support business reporting and monitoring improvement, including capabilities, procedures and practices, and maintain the investor‑relation calendar.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal functions (chief executives, CFO, COO, CCO, general counsel, JV and operated assets team) and external stakeholders (equity and fixed‑income analysts, MSX, FSA and the investment community).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or marketing.
  • 10–12+ years of relevant experience, preferably with previous experience in an oil and gas company.
  • 3+ years of experience working in corporate finance and/or a capital market environment.
  • Strong analytical ability to analyse and interpret consolidated financial statements.
  • Experience developing high‑quality management reports and investor‑focused presentations.
  • Ability to act as a coordinator for multiple internal and external teams.
  • Solid understanding of sustainability and ESG‑related topics and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of business plans and sustainability indicators evaluation.
  • Familiarity with capital market expectations, corporate governance practices and investor engagement strategies.
