- Experience:
Minimum 3 years in catering or food-store operations - Qualification:
Diploma or relevant store keeping certification preferred - Remote-site or large industrial catering-camp experience is preferred
- Food and catering inventory management
- FIFO and FEFO stock-control procedures
- Receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials
- Expiry-date and temperature monitoring
- Stock counting and reconciliation
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- MS Excel and inventory-management software
- Accurate recordkeeping and report preparation
- Receive and inspect food, beverages and catering supplies.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Store materials according to food-safety requirements.
- Maintain FIFO and FEFO procedures.
- Monitor expiry dates, storage temperatures and stock levels.
- Issue supplies against approved requisitions.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts.
- Prepare inventory, shortage, damage and near-expiry reports.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, catering and purchasing teams.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised store.
