Legal Officer/Lawyer

Preparing, coordinating, drafting, and reviewing contracts, agreements, and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as any legal documents that entail financial or legal obligations on the unit.
Following up on all matters affecting contracts, agreements, or MoUs, and establishing mechanisms for their implementation or settlement, in coordination with relevant administrative divisions and under the directives of the immediate supervisor.
Maintaining legal documents, records, files, and references of the department and assisting in archiving them according to applicable regulations and procedures.
Analyzing documents related to contracts and agreements before drafting or when interpreting contract clauses, and identifying associated legal risks.
Providing legal support in reviewing draft laws, agreements, contracts, regulations, decisions, circulars, manuals, and policies.
Participating in committees formed for drafting regulations and laws related to the unit and representing the unit in all related procedures.
Drafting official letters, statements of claim, and responses to claims filed by or against the unit, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
Supervising the follow-up on execution of judgments and related correspondence with relevant authorities to avoid any action by the court due to delays in enforcement.
Coordinating with external law firms on lawsuits referred to them by the unit, and ensuring all required information and documents are provided to serve the unit's best interest.
Keeping up to date with the latest legislation and judicial principles to ensure compliance.
Performing any other duties assigned.
RequirementsAcademic Qualification and
Work Experience:
A Master’s degree in Law or Legal Studies (or equivalent related fields) with 5 years of post-qualification experience.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies (or equivalent related fields) with 10 years of post-qualification experience.
A professional certificate related to the job is considered an added advantage.
The job grade will be determined according to the legal employment rules upon appointment.

- Proficient in using computers and relevant applications.
- Ability to conduct legal research and investigations, access accurate information, and use all available electronic means to do so.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and data analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and systems.
- Fluency in Arabic and English
