Job Purpose:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has strategic responsibility for the leadership, growth, and overall performance of the investment firm. The role encompasses end-to-end management of the fundraising lifecycle, investment and portfolio management, asset management, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership.

The CEO is accountable for setting and executing the investment strategy, delivering sustainable financial returns, and ensuring organizational excellence to achieve strategic objectives.

• Define and refine the firm’s long-term strategy and priorities, ensuring full alignment between the investment mandate, operating model, and risk appetite
• Provide executive leadership and direction across all internal functions including Investment, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Information Technology, ensuring strong internal controls and effective coordination.
• Build, lead, and retain a high-performing team, setting performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, collaboration, and integrity.
• Develop and oversee the firm’s operating budget including compensation structures and operating expenses.
• Provide strategic oversight of all investments across the full lifecycle, including deal origination, evaluation, structuring, execution, portfolio monitoring, and exit strategies
• Oversee financial performance objectives for the asset management portfolio, ensuring sustainable returns, capital preservation, and long-term value creation.
• Provide post-investment strategic leadership and support to portfolio companies, including active participation at the Board level, to drive value creation, performance improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Identify investment opportunities and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, and partners to structure investments that align with the investment mandate
• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective investors locally and globally, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, banks, and insurers
• Lead fundraising efforts for investment funds, co-investment vehicles, and related mandates.
• Manage and maintain effective and trusted relationships with the Board of Directors, regulators, government bodies, and key stakeholders
• Act as the primary external representative of the firm, enhancing its market positioning, credibility, and reputation within the investment community locally and globally.
• Play an active role on investment committees and other governing bodies overseeing investment strategies, asset management, and obligations to investors
• Lead engagement with the Board, including presenting clear, timely, and strategic updates on the firm at Board meetings.
• Ensure robust governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management across the firm and its investment structure.
• Ensure transparent and high-quality reporting to the Board, investors, and regulators.
• Safeguard and enhance the firm’s reputation, stakeholder trust, and license to operate.

• Master of Finance / Business Administration / Economics / relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
• Bachelor Degree of Finance / Accounting / Economics / Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognized institution required.

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in investments, asset management, or a similar field

• Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
