Job Purpose
The Asset Manager, reporting to Asset Director, is responsible for maximising the value of EDO’s non-operated joint venture asset through strong value assurance, governance, and influencing of Operator and JV partner decisions. The role ensures disciplined delivery of approved plans and provides oversight across performance, risk, and compliance. Acting as EDO’s single-point integrator for the asset, the Asset Manager protects shareholder value while ensuring adherence to Joint Venture and Operating Agreements, EDO corporate policies, and the Asset Management System.
Responsibilities& Accountabilities
- Oversee, monitor and influence the delivery of asset performance across all dimensions including HSE, production, integrity, Opex, Capex and Cashflow, in line with approved plans and targets.
- Oversee asset performance monitoring and reporting, including weekly, monthly, and periodic performance, production, cost, and forecast updates to senior management and shareholders.
- Manage EDO’s interests through established governance frameworks, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, committees, policies, procedures, and audit processes.
- Identify, mature, and drive asset value improvement opportunities while ensuring risks to value and HSE are identified, assessed, and actively mitigated.
- Develop, integrate, and secure the required internal EDO approval for multi-year business plans, the Annual Work Program and Budget (WP&B) for the asset, key resolutions and ensure disciplined execution post-approval.
- Actively influence Operator and JV partner(s) decisions through formal committees and informal engagement to ensure alignment with approved strategies, field development plans, and reservoir surveillance objectives.
- Challenge costs, schedules, and technical assumptions to ensure investments meet EDO’s economic screening criteria and deliver maximum economic recovery.
- Coordinate internally within to conduct multi-disciplinary reviews to ensure robust technical and commercial assessments of asset-related projects, supporting informed decision-making and maximizing EDO’s value.
- Develop, maintain, and execute the Asset Influencing Plan, track progress, drive corrective actions, and elevate issues requiring senior management or shareholder support.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Sector in a combination of major technical and commercial roles.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Strong stakeholder experience with JOC’s and NOV management an advantage.
- Appetite to quickly learn a must.
