Position Overview
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Credit Oman is responsible for providing strategic leadership and executive management, ensuring the achievement of the organization’s vision, mission, strategic objectives, and financial sustainability. The CEO leads the development and execution of business strategies that support growth of domestic and export credit insurance services, contribute to Oman Vision 2040, and create value for stakeholders.
The CEO is accountable for driving business growth, managing enterprise risks, strengthening organizational performance, fostering innovation and digital transformation, and maintaining effective relationships with shareholders, regulators, customers, government entities, and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the organization’s long‑term strategy and business plans.
- Lead the execution of strategic initiatives approved by the Board of Directors.
- Identify growth opportunities, emerging market trends, and new business opportunities.
- Ensure alignment of business objectives with Oman Vision 2040 and shareholder expectations.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Drive sustainable growth in premium income, market share, and profitability.
- Expand Credit Oman’s support for exporters, SMEs, and domestic businesses.
- Develop strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, government entities, and international organizations.
- Identify opportunities for new products, services, and market expansion.
- Strengthen Credit Oman’s position as a leading credit insurance provider in the region.
- Ensure sound financial management and long‑term financial sustainability.
- Lead annual budgeting, business planning, and financial forecasting activities.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure achievement of approved targets.
- Optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee underwriting, claims, recoveries, reinsurance, and risk management functions.
- Manage commercial, financial, operational, and strategic risks while promoting a strong risk‑management culture.
- Maintain internal controls and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors, Oman Investment Authority (OIA), regulators, customers, and strategic partners.
- Represent Credit Oman at local, regional, and international forums.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing executive management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Encourage adoption of technology‑driven solutions and data‑driven decision‑making.

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, insurance, business administration, economics, risk management, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) highly preferred.
- Professional qualifications (preferred): ACII, CPCU, CFA, FRM, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Executive leadership certifications considered an advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience.
- Minimum 8 years in a senior executive leadership role.
- Proven experience within financial services, insurance, credit insurance, banking, export finance, or related sectors.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors and government‑related entities.
