We are partnering with a leading specialist marketing and distribution company in Oman, delivering high-quality industrial and construction solutions across multiple sectors in Supply Chain/Logistics. We are seeking a Business Development Executive – Fire & Safety Solutions. The position will report to Chairman and Board Of Directors in India.

Position Overview

We are looking for an energetic, ambitious and customer‑focused Business Development Executive to drive sales growth for GMPSCO's Fire & Safety product portfolio across Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, expanding the dealer network and increasing market share among institutional customers, contractors and retail building materials outlets. This role requires a consultative sales approach with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the Fire & Safety product portfolio.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across Oman.
  • Generate business from:
    • Government and semi‑government organizations
    • Industrial customers
    • Commercial projects
    • EPC contractors
    • MEP contractors
    • Civil contractors
    • Consultants
    • Architects
    • Project owners
    • Facility management companies
    • Retail building material shops
    • Dealers and distributors
  • Promote GMPSCO's Fire & Safety products through customer visits, technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Develop long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers, consultants and procurement teams.
  • Identify project opportunities from the early specification stage through project execution.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Expand the company's retail and distribution network across Oman.
  • Provide customers with product selection guidance and basic technical support in coordination with internal technical teams.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast business opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, market trends and new product developments.
  • Coordinate closely with technical, logistics and customer support teams to ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
  • Represent GMPSCO at exhibitions, trade events, customer seminars and promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain CRM records, customer visit reports and sales activity updates.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • 3-5 years of successful sales or business development experience.
  • Experience selling one or more of the following:
    • Fire & Safety Products
    • Fire Protection Systems
    • Fire Fighting Equipment
    • Construction Chemicals
    • Building Materials
    • Industrial Products
    • MEP Products
  • Proven experience in institutional sales and channel development.
  • Strong understanding of the Oman construction and project market.
  • Experience dealing with contractors, consultants, project owners and distributors.
  • Strong networking and relationship‑building capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Commercially driven with a strong customer‑first mindset.
  • Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Oman.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Chemical preferred), Science or Business.
  • Candidates with strong technical aptitude and proven sales success will also be considered.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Oman Civil Defence fire safety requirements and the fire protection industry will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of project sales cycles and specification selling.
  • Ability to interpret technical product literature and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Strong MS Office and CRM skills.
  • Valid GCC/Oman driving licence will be an advantage.
