Overview

Country Sales Manager / BDM for drilling services based in Muscat, Oman. Lead the growth and commercial performance of a drilling services business unit. Responsible for driving sales, managing key client relationships, overseeing business development activities, and supporting profitability and operational success of the unit.

Location and Compensation

Work Location:

Muscat, Oman

Estimated Salary: OMR 1.5K to 3K per month (total cash lump sum package) + family medical insurance, annual flights, visa + bonus (performance based)

Responsibilities
  • Lead sales strategy and execution for the drilling services unit in Muscat.
  • Drive business development activities and manage key client relationships.
  • Collaborate with operations to support profitability and operational success.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Overall up to 20 years of career experience; higher experience may be considered not aligned with role needs.
  • Proven experience within the drilling industry, gained through hands-on operational, technical, maintenance, servicing, or commercial roles.
  • Progressed to Sales Manager, Account Manager, or BDM with a focus on technical sales.
  • Strong understanding of drilling rigs, drilling equipment, drill pipes, and related services.
  • Experience with rig maintenance, inspection, refurbishment, repair, or servicing (e.g., CAT III Inspection, CAT IV Refurbishment) is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to onshore and/or offshore drilling operations, preferably in the Middle East.
  • Commercially minded with a solid understanding of business performance metrics, cash flow management, and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong client-facing, relationship management, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to manage both business development initiatives and day-to-day business operations.
