Radio technician

Overview

As a Radio Technician you will install, maintain, and repair radio equipment and systems. You will work with a variety of devices including radios, antennas, transmitters, and receivers to ensure proper functionality. The role requires conducting diagnostic tests, troubleshooting problems, performing routine maintenance, and assisting in the development of new radio technologies and systems.

• Install new radio equipment and components.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality checks.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Assist in developing and implementing new radio systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in radio technology or a related field.
• Knowledge of various radio equipment and systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights if necessary.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Certification in radio technology or a related field.
• Experience with biometric passport systems.
• Fluent in English.

£1,100 per month (negotiable based on experience).
