Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor

Job Purpose: Responsible for the efficient and profitable field service operation in order to achieve performance goals and efficiency targets. Responsible for providing a quality and timely service to maintain high level of customer satisfaction. Responsible for ensuring clean, safe, and healthy working environment that motivates and empowers field employees.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the achievement of service department’s objectives and ensure achievement of field service targets and performance metrics/ KPIs.
• Ensure the quality condition, and efficient utilization of technician toolboxes, and other field service tools.
• Ensure that field service vehicles are adequate for workload and reflect good company image.
• Ensure efficient utilization and mileage recovery of all field service vehicles.
• Plan and organize work for achievement.
• Plan work to meet target completion date.
• Match worker to the job.
• Optimize utilization of field service technicians.
• Ensure effective and efficient utilization of technicians’ time.
• Ensure the timely order/ preparation of job needed parts & tools so that field technicians' journey is not delayed.
• Prepare customer quotations / Contribute to customer quote preparation.
• Monitor repairs efficiency to maximize performance and profitability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical engineering.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing and supervising service technicians.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment and/or other heavy machinery is highly preferred.
• Ability to analyze equipment failures and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
