Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues in Heavy vehicle diesel engines and related systems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes filter replacements and fluid checks adhering to strict manufacturer guidelines to maximize vehicle lifespan
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel vehicles identifying potential problems and recommending necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Execute major engine overhauls including cylinder head repairs crankshaft replacements and fuel system maintenance ensuring precision and adherence to specifications
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; a vocational or technical school diploma in diesel mechanics is preferred
- Holds a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement, demonstrating ability to operate and maintain heavy-duty vehicles
- Certified by ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in diesel engine repair, demonstrating a commitment to industry standards
- Has 3-5 years of proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, showcasing hands-on expertise
