We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented painter to join our Honda service team in Oman. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out complete vehicle painting and refinishing work to manufacturer standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety requirements. You will perform all stages of the painting process, from surface preparation and paint mixing to application, polishing, and final finishing while supporting efficient bodyshop operations.
Whatyou will do
- Perform complete vehicle painting and refinishing work in accordance with Honda standards and insurer-approved repair requirements.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, minor dent rectification, applying stopper, priming, and paint preparation.
- Mix and tint paint accurately to achieve the required color match and finish quality.
- Apply primers, paints, and coatings following paint manufacturer specifications.
- Carry out machine compounding, polishing, and finishing to restore vehicle appearance.
- Utilize paint mixing software and equipment effectively.
- Maintain and care for spray guns, painting tools, and workshop equipment.
- Complete repairs to the manufacturer's recommended standards to minimize repeat and return jobs.
- Monitor paint material consumption and maintain accurate records of material usage.
- Achieve productivity targets and maintain high-quality workmanship standards.
- Participate in Honda technical training programs and achieve required certification levels.
- Follow all workshop health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain cleanliness and organization within the bodyshop.
- Strong knowledge of automotive painting and refinish processes.
- Experience in paint preparation, priming, color matching, tinting, and polishing.
- Ability to independently perform the complete vehicle painting cycle from preparation to final finish.
- Good understanding of dry sanding techniques and surface rectification.
- Experience using spray guns, paint booths, and painting equipment.
- Ability to interpret repair orders, technical manuals, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of paint mixing systems and software.
