Job Description

This is a part-time position. The employee will proctor and oversee the administration of exams, ensuring compliance with EICC and contractual testing policies and procedures. The assistant collaborates with students, staff, businesses, industry, and college partners regarding testing procedures, accommodations, and policies. The role maintains accurate records and related data for reporting purposes.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings.
  • Attention to accuracy, adherence to testing protocols, multitasking, and self-sufficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with staff, students, corporate partners, and the public.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to pass regulatory certifications within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or some college and prior testing experience.

Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The employee should be able to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer are required.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedules, administers, and proctors testing and assessment sessions for students and community members.
  • Supervises students during exams to maintain test integrity.
  • Coordinates exam schedule during the academic year, ensuring availability of testing resources and accommodating students’ needs.
  • Maintains and secures testing materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Collects accurate records of test takers, exams administered, and related student data.
  • Ensures timely and professional communication with students, instructors, and community stakeholders regarding test-related items.
  • Collaborates with district faculty, staff, and testing partners to facilitate the testing process, accommodation needs, and ensures compliance within academic guidelines.
  • Completes all required proctoring training, maintains certification, and ensures testing protocols are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Committed to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
