Job DescriptionProvides information about college programs, admissions policies and procedures. Ensures accurate information sharing and college enrollment. Duties will include thorough academic planning, career exploration, scheduling of courses and college tuition payment options. Assists in coordinating workshops, orientation, and special advising events.
Work location is in-person at Muscatine Community College
Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in education, counseling, or related field.
- Ability to work effectively across academic disciplines and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including both oral and written skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Significant intercultural acumen and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Creativity and commitment to program initiatives.
- Knowledge of retention strategies and technologies to support and improve student success.
- Master's degree preferred.
