We are looking for a Retail Banking Intern to join our team this summer! This is a wonderful opportunity to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience in your field of interest. You will learn how to support the business day‑to‑day, manage project work, develop your network, and engage in professional development. This internship is ideal for individuals who are customer‑focused, relationship‑oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn about the many facets of retail banking.
WhatYou Will Do
- Gain exposure to the various aspects of retail banking, including Teller Operations, Personal Banking, and Branch Management.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while learning cash handling procedures and balancing techniques.
- Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments, account inquiries, account openings, and account maintenance.
- Learn about consumer banking products and services and observe customer financial conversations and needs‑based recommendations.
- Participate in branch meetings, community outreach activities, and branch operations initiatives.
- Engage with different segments of the bank for increased exposure and networking. These areas include Internal Audit, Private Wealth, Commercial Banking, Mortgage, HR, Marketing, Credit Administration, Finance & Accounting, etc.
- Participate in educational sessions and trainings to develop and enhance core skills and industry knowledge.
- Attend networking sessions with other interns from CBI, and other banks, to learn from banking professionals and engage in teamwork sessions.
- Present your experiences and projects at the end of the summer.
- Build relationships with banking professionals and customers while learning how community banking supports local communities and businesses.
- Candidates should be working towards a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Junior‑level coursework is preferred.
- We are not accepting any candidates that require company sponsorship to legally work in the United States.
A minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience, internships, leadership experience, or involvement in related activities such as student organizations, tutoring, business fraternities, or community engagement.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
