EVP, Chief Operations and Technology Officer is responsible for the supervision and leadership of client experience, deposit operations, data processing, information technology, project management, payment systems supporting treasury management products and services, corporate marketing and brand protection, business continuity, vendor relationships and conversion activities as applicable for both the holding company and bank.
Responsibilities- Diligently protect confidential information and assist the Bank in ensuring that all confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately.
- Ensure a conservative risk management culture focused on safety and soundness, including all aspects of regulatory CAMELs ratings, with particular emphasis on regulatory compliance.
- Ensure safe and effective processes for account opening and maintenance, transaction processing and reconciliation, regulator compliance for deposits, handling exceptions and error resolution, and support branch and digital channels.
- Lead monitoring and continuous improvement of client experience.
- Be responsible for organization-wide standardization, operational efficiency, technology implementation, treasury management and payments systems, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in acquisition efforts and oversee related conversion and integration activities.
- Understand the company’s business model and align knowledge to improve how we do business with customers. Translate vision into action and focus on deliverable results.
- Develop and implement overall policy, plans, and programs relative to areas of responsibility.
- Uphold the organization’s vision, mission and values, encompassing mutual respect, honoring commitments, working with integrity and accepting responsibility for own actions.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to internal and external client experience.
- Lead the Technology Advancement Committee.
- Participate in various committees, including the Executive Leadership Team, Executive Risk Management Committee, Retail Strategy Committee, Marketing Committee, and ALCO.
- Represent the bank in key community activities to maintain a reputable civic presence for the bank.
- Communicate corporate structure to all levels and recommend changes to maximize organizational performance.
- Recruit, train, and develop team leaders. Provide regular performance feedback and create development and succession plans. Coach and hold leaders and associates accountable.
- Foster open communication, share programs and procedures related to company vision, and remove obstacles to success collaboratively.

- Reinforce the company culture and behaviors regularly.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
- Maintain awareness of policies, procedures, authorities, regulations and laws including BSA and AML requirements; follow them at all times.
- Communicate openly with supervisors and management about policies, procedures, work conduct and job functions; seek clarification when needed.
- Participate in training and policy updates; assist with scheduling coordination as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or ten or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant experience should include in-depth background in bank operations, payment systems, information technology, and management and supervisory skills.
- Advanced experience in branch or department operations, management and supervisory activities.
- Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead, supervise and train multiple employees; strong delegation and productivity oversight.
- Strong management procedures knowledge, including planning, budgeting, policy development, staffing, delegation, motivation, problem resolution, performance measurement and rewards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
