R Production Supervisor (Open)
Location:
Muscatine, IA (ADI) – Filling industrial – Dry‑ice
6:00 am – 6:00 pm (2–2–3 rotating)

- Guide Plant Operators in production, packaging, shipping preparation, and loading/unloading products in commercial trucks.
- Coordinate safe start‑up, shutdown, and efficient operation of the dry ice plant.
- Coordinate with local branch to match production resources (labor, materials, equipment) to demand.
- Communicate operational status continually to the Plant and Branch Managers.
- Interview and welcome new production associates to the team.
- Complete written evaluations and annual reviews of production associates.
- Guide, develop, and mentor production associates in alignment with company policies.
- Track supply inventories to ensure availability of materials.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve safety hazards and quality deficiencies.
- Operate a forklift on an occasional basis as required.
- 70% of time in an unconditioned workspace – requires PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes), gloves for handling dry ice.
- 30% time in an office setting.
- On‑call and shift work required.
- High school diploma and at least 3 years supervising 10+ production workers in an industrial setting.
- Strong decision‑making and disciplinary skills aligned with company policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills for personnel files, time tracking, inventory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) and higher‑level math for budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to work safely in a noisy environment with elevated CO₂ vapor and lift 5–50 lb. dry‑ice blocks occasionally.
- Associate’s degree (preferred).
- Prior knowledge of ice plant machinery (block presses, saws, pelletizers, valves).
- Active forklift certification.
