Electrical Technician

Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Technician to repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.

• Performs installation, building, testing, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical components of a variety of production components and plant related equipment. On job training to be provided.
• Ability to use general hand tools and general assembly task not related to electrical.
• Ability to work off-sit when needed.
• Strong background in electrical.
• Work and consult with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status.
• Ability to handle stairs and lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, tape measures, and scales.
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as digital multimeter, ammeter, loop calibrator, and oscilloscope.
• Ability to read and comprehend assembly prints and industrial electrical schematics.
• Cable-building experience - is a big plus.
• Some experience with troubleshooting PLC and automation systems is a plus.
• Building cables to print (measuring, soldering/crimping, sealing, testing with multimeter).
• Assembling industrial instrumentation according to schematic.
• Testing/replacing 3PH AC and/or DC motors on industrial equipment.
• Occasional testing/replacing instrumentation at customer sites (Field work).

• Electrical degree or equivalent experience.
• Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Limited business travel to customer’s workshops will be required.
• Ability to learn data and modeling programs.
• Self‑motivation to identify, analyze and independently work to find solutions to flow issues is essential.
• Ability to learn and understand critical processes and operations in assigned areas.
• Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks.
