The GT Production Technician is responsible for production of quality technical materials and intermediates in a safe and efficient manner. Uses knowledge of products, raw materials, and operating procedures to control equipment that processes substances into specified products.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the safe operation of chemical processing equipment.
- Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Stages raw and finished materials.
- Takes required samples during production process.
- Decontaminates equipment and piping for maintenance or disposal.
- Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment Matrix. Maintains inventories of disposable, production, and safety related materials.
- Recognizes material compatibilities.
- Conducts charging and filling operations.
- Maintains plant Hazard Communication labeling program.
- Performs general housekeeping duties throughout the plant area.
- Assists in product changeover activities. Basics of plant/unit operations and safety equipment.
- Responsible for plant/unit operations and safety equipment.
- Recognizes and operates basic process elements.
- RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, waste codes, and how to immediately communicate discovery of spills and leaks.
- Handles waste and other contaminated trash per SOP.Responsible for labeling, inspection, and recordkeeping requirements to accumulate waste in satellite accumulation areas, containers, and tanks.
- Operates forklifts, shuttle wagon, and radio communication during rail movement operations.
- HS Diploma or GED with at least that level in reading comprehension, writing, and math.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to use information technology systems and applications.
- Willingness to climb with the ability to perform elevated work utilizing portable ladders and fall protection equipment.
- Position involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Able to work rotating shift, including required overtime hours and weekends to support the business needs.
- Manufacturing or Agriculture Operations experience, Military, or similar experience.
- Experience operating a fork truck.
- Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Personal focus on safety, teamwork, and adaptability.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills and the ability to listed.
- Able to work without direct supervision in a diverse team environment.
- Successful candidates will be able to use: computer control/display screens, process pumps and equipment, various hand tools, fork trucks, full-face respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus, and level A suits.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of $ 30.42 per hour until training requirements are met, after which the salary is $37.83 per hour.
