Overview
Shift: Full-time, 4 days per week, typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Flexible scheduling with the option to work until 6:30 PM on Tuesdays and leave early another day. The clinic closes at 2:00 PM on Fridays.
Join our team as a Public Health Nurse! Make a difference in the community by providing health education, direct patient care, and care coordination. In this role, you may support areas such as communicable diseases, wellness, maternal and child health, immunizations, family planning, and community education.

- Provide public health education and promote disease prevention within the community.
- Deliver direct patient care, including immunizations, family planning services, health screenings, and educational visits.
- Support communicable and infectious disease surveillance, investigation, outreach, and case‑finding.
- Participate in response efforts related to disease outbreaks, environmental hazards, and other public health concerns.
- Collaborate with community organizations, schools, businesses, and coalitions to address population health needs.
- Accurately collect, document, and maintain patient and public health data within medical record systems.
- Support vaccine management, quality control reviews, and public health program compliance.
- Education:
Nursing Degree (RN). - Experience:
2+ years of nursing experience. Public Health experience preferred. - License:
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. - Skills/Knowledge:
Demonstrated organization, communication, and documentation skills required. Ability to use usual equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
