Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Muscatine, IA 52761
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll independently showcase organization, time management, and ability to establish retailer relationships as the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 - $16.00 depending on skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 6-10 hours per week

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The position includes three major components:
- Day-to-day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for daily work, communication with supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours. On occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, you may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
- Department resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
- Team support: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you support other merchandisers professionals in their territories as needed.
This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and step ladders throughout the workday.
BASICQUALIFICATIONS
- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Could lift and carry products up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
- Have Wi‑Fi network and internet access.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
