Career Advancement:Upon successful completion of the program, you will be qualified for an Advance Maintenance Technician within HNI.

Accredited Program:Our apprenticeship is a Registered Apprenticeship with the U.S. Department of Labor and State of Iowa.

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs production and any specialized equipment involving:

• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Power Transmission, Lubrication and Pumps
• Instrument/Vision Systems (Repair, Install, and Troubleshoot)
• Piping and plumbing
• Electrical Theory
• Mechanical Operations
• Motors, Automation and Robotics (Maintain and Repair)
• Paint Oven Process Heating, Paint Oven Controls and Troubles

• Dust, fumes and noise are commonplace
• Seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected
• Stand and/or work for up to 10-hours per day
• Lift and carry up to 40lbs on a continuous basis

Ideal candidates would have prior Industrial, Manufacturing, Agricultural, or Mechanical Maintenance experience. Completion of an advanced technology program or degree at a technical school would be very beneficial.
