Job purpose:

The central warehouse position is to serve as a key role in providing operations with the goods needed to perform their job. This includes receiving, issuing, cycle counting and stocking freight.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Follows all safety rules and regulations
• Unloads, places and stores material
• Verify material is correct as ordered
• Enter data into forms, tracking system and spreadsheets
• Receiving
• Stocking
• Issuing
• Cycle counting
• General housekeeping
• Operating mobile equipment
• Operating overhead crane

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Required Experience:

• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in an industrial environment in receiving or warehouse operations

Preferred Experience:

• Experience operating crane and mobile equipment

Working conditions:

The employee will frequently be required to:

• Sit, walk, stand - alternating throughout 10 hour shift
• Balance, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl and climb
• Reach above shoulder level, twist at waist level, reach at and/or below waist level
• Use both hands together or separately for grasping, fingering, gripping, holding
• Push, pull, lift, and/or carry items weighing up to 30 pounds

The position requires the following vision, talking and hearing capabilities:

• Vision at near, mid, and far range
• Peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Communicating in person, on the phone, and/or in group settings

The employee will be required to use the following machines or tools:

• Computer
• Inventory scale
• Overhead crane
• Forklift

The employee will work in the following conditions:

• Indoors/Outdoors
• Extreme heat and cold
• In wet and humid conditions
• Amid noise
• Amid fumes, dust and dirt
• Around equipment in motion and/or at heights
• Amid mechanical and electrical hazards
• Wearing safety equipment and/or clothing for protection from hazards

Position Type - Work Hours - Travel Requirements:

• Position is full time, hourly, and is eligible for overtime
• Varied schedules - (12) hours a day or rotating swing shifts to include days and nights
• No travel is expected for this position
