Position: Alabama Career Essential (ACE) Program Instructor (Part-Time)
* Plan, prepare, and implement ACE instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.

* Provide instruction to participants in independent study modules for career readiness skills, workplace education, and workforce preparation, including career pathways.

* Establish positive rapport and supportive relationship with program participants.

* Assess participant strengths and weaknesses for development of individual training plans to aid in completion of ACE program.

* Assist with orientation of new ACE classes.

* Responsible for meeting established class performance goals.

* Ability and willingness to learn new instructional technology and virtual learning platforms including, but not limited to, Canvas and Work Keys Curriculum.

* Assist with administration of career interest inventory and career advising of program participants.

* Ensure that participants are instructed in appropriate skills areas as identified in career and academic assessments.  

* Conduct pre- and post-tests on participants in the program to measure skills improvement and success using TABE.

* Prepare accurate documentation related to grades, participant progress, participant files and program efficiency and effectiveness.

* Maintain knowledge of ACE curriculum updates.

* Complete employee time and effort reports in a timely manner as requested.

* Respond to communication as requested/needed with supervisors, co-workers, and program participants.

* Represent the College, Adult Education, and ACE programs in a positive and professional manner to students, peers, community members, and business/industry.

* Participate in meetings, activities, professional development, and committees related to the ACE and Adult Education programs.

* Maintain knowledge of and comply with guidelines and policies set forth by the Alabama Community College System and Northwest Shoals Community College.

* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College, required.

* Experience working with adult learners, preferred.

* Experience with diverse populations, preferred.

* Experience in business and industry, preferred.  

* Experience in Alabama Career Essential (ACE) program or similar career readiness program, preferred.
