Academic, Career, Transfer & Disability Support Advising
* Maintain a campus-based advising caseload that also includes specialized student populations which may include but is not limited to Student Ambassadors, SGA, scholarship recipients, veterans, and students with accommodations.
* Provide academic advising and degree planning by helping students understand program requirements, select appropriate courses, and develop individualized academic plans aligned with their goals.
* Monitor student progress through regular check-ins, early alerts, and review of academic records, referring students to tutoring, counseling, financial aid, or other support services as needed.
* Guide students through college policies, processes, and resources (registration, withdrawals, transfer pathways, graduation requirements, etc.) to promote informed decision-making and student success.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student interactions, advising notes, and follow-up actions in the college's student information and CRM systems.
* Serve as campus coordinator for Disability Support Services to ensure compliance with ADA, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other federal/state regulations.
* Conduct ADA intake meetings, review documentation, and determine appropriate accommodations.
* Collaborate with faculty to implement accommodations and support instructional compliance with ADA guidelines.
* Connect students with campus and community resources to promote academic success and inclusion.
* Maintain knowledge of current disability laws, regulations, and Office of Civil Rights rulings to ensure quality service and institutional compliance.
Student Retention & Engagement
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all student organizations and the Student Government Association (SGA) sponsor.
* Plan, organize, and assess campus-wide student engagement initiatives, including events, clubs, and student-led organizations.
* Assess, develop, and implement programs and resources to support students' basic needs, including initiatives that address food insecurity, financial challenges, housing needs, and access to essential services.
* Oversee student organization budgets and guide student leaders on event planning, financial management, and organizational development.
* Plans, prepares, and presents in-person and/or virtual classroom instruction for orientation classes (ORI
107).
* Coordinate educational and developmental programming focused on career exploration, mental health awareness, leadership, and personal growth.
* Design and implement leadership and mentorship programs that foster student development and success.
* Create and promote opportunities that enhance student engagement, belonging, and community on campus.
* Plan and execute student life events that strengthen connections between students, faculty, and staff beyond the classroom.
* Coordinate and support a variety of social, cultural, and recreational activities that enrich the overall student experience.
* Collaborate with advising, career services, and academic departments to implement retention-focused programming and interventions.
* Identify and engage at-risk students through proactive outreach, mentorship opportunities, and connection to campus resources.
* Utilize data and student feedback to evaluate engagement initiatives and measure their impact on retention and student success.
Community Service & Support
* Coordinate community service initiatives and special projects that connect students with local partners and service-learning opportunities.
* Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community organizations to promote civic engagement and student involvement.
* Maintain data and reporting for programs and services to assess student utilization and impact.
* Assist the College in achieving it institutional goals for enrollment, persistence, and completion by fostering meaningful student connections and involvement.
* Participates on college committees as required or assigned.
* Bachelor's Degree in education, business, communication, marketing, or related field, required.
* Minimum of two years of experience in admissions, recruitment, student engagement, or academic advising at an institution of higher education, required.
* Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, preferred.
* Experience in academic and career advising, preferred.
* Experience with Banner and Target
X, preferred.
