Position Summary
The Facilitator will support Adult Education's Workforce Initiatives credentialing programs, specifically Credential College, including the Pharmacy Technician program, ACE, MAPs, Work Keys (National Career Readiness Certificate), and other Workforce Initiative projects. This position will facilitate student learning, assist with curriculum development, administer assessments, perform data entry, and reporting tasks to support program outcomes. This position is not eligible for tenure/non-probational status.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Facilitate Pharmacy Technician training, workplace education, and workforce preparation, including the National Career Readiness Certificate, Alabama Career Essentials (ACE), and Mobilizing Alabama Pathways (MAPs) skills integration.
- Apply research-based facilitator practices that incorporate the use of computers and other technologies.
- Provide a variety of instructional strategies and uses tools appropriate to the needs of the student.
- Develop appropriate Plans of Instruction (POI).
- Provide continuous feedback and adjusts facilitation to maximize student learning.
- Work with colleagues to develop and evaluate curriculum and materials.
- Administer and interpret appropriate placement and diagnostic tests.
- Apply adult education principles and methods in the workforce classroom.
- Facilitate the transfer of learned skills from the classroom to the job.
- Plan learning experiences that are interactive and relevant to the specific workplace environment.
- Customize and develop workplace education curriculum, and lesson plans that facilitate transference from the classroom to the job based on the workforce goals and expected training outcomes.
- Maintain the usage of formal and informal assessment data to monitor and document student progress.
- Collect and manage accurate date for program improvement and accountability.
- Participate in the retention and follow-up of students.
- Maintains knowledge of program regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain student records.
- Additional duties may include assisting students with job search skills in preparation for the workforce; connecting students with support services and helping students establish career and educational goals.
- Maintain a flexible working schedule to service both day and night classes, as well as off campus classes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in education, educational content area, or related field from an accredited institution, required .
- Experience working in Alabama Adult Education System for Accountability and Performance (AAESAP) and/or Adult Education's Credential College, required.
- Experience working in Pharmacy Technician training, preferred.
- Two or more years of full-time work experience in an institution of higher education, preferred.

SALARY: Compensation is in accordance with the Alabama Community College System's Salary Schedule H25-1 ($28,296 - $33,807) for 25-hour-per-week position.
