Production Engineer - II
North American Lighting Inc., member of the Koito Group of Companies, is the largest tier one automotive exterior lighting manufacturer in North America. North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Production Engineer - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, design, and implement production processes, ensure new product designs can be manufactured, and maintain the molding processes in production.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day technical support for the processes engineering in the plant.
- Addressing internal and external customer complaints, conducting investigations, developing root cause analysis, determining countermeasures, and documenting using NAL problem solving methods.
- Supporting program management generated project macro-schedules with detailed engineering micro-schedules to ensure that all project milestones are tracked and completed on time.
- Coordinating the design and purchase of new equipment, and managing installation and start-up.
- Identifying value engineering/value analysis ideas and standard parts to be implemented into new product designs.
- Developing and updating/improving check sheets for all production equipment for preventative maintenance and machine condition.
The salary range for this position is $60,200 - $90,100 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of related manufacturing experience.
