Role Description The Value Engineer role at Bolzoni North America is an on-site position located in Sulligent, Alabama. The Value Engineer will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain teams to analyze product costs, identify value improvement opportunities, and support cost-effective design and production decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing existing products and processes, performing value and cost analyses, proposing design or process changes, and supporting implementation projects to optimize material usage, manufacturing methods, and product performance.
The role also involves preparing technical and financial reports, assisting with quotations and business cases, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with cost analysis, value engineering, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Technical skills in mechanical or industrial engineering, with the ability to understand drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and productivity software (e.g., Excel, ERP/MRP systems, CAD exposure is a plus).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, material handling equipment, or industrial products is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and contribute to an organized, safe, and quality-focused work environment.
