Job Description
The Employee & Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for fostering positive relationships between our employees and the community. This role includes seeking out non‑profit partnerships, coordinating employee volunteer activities, managing social media content related to community actions, and overseeing our online reputation.
Key Responsibilities- Fostering Positive Relationships: Builds strong connections with employees and the community. The Coordinator is responsible for fostering relationships that are mutually beneficial and supportive.
- Proactive Partnership Development: Seeks out partnerships with non‑profit organizations. The Coordinator actively identifies organizations, initiatives, and events that align with the company and the Long‑Lewis Foundation missions, prioritizing opportunities for employee volunteerism and participation.
- Employee Volunteerism Coordination: Coordinates employee volunteer activities. This includes encouraging participation, planning events, communicating details, and keeping employees engaged and excited.
- Event Representation: Represents the company at charitable events, ensuring employees gain a first‑hand understanding of the value of volunteerism and that the community observes active employee involvement rather than only financial support.
- Social Media Content Management: Supplies social media content to the Corporate Social Media Coordinator. The Coordinator leads content creation, collaborates on posts, giveaways, and engagement strategies, and ensures material is personable, relevant, engaging, and promotional.
- Online Reputation Monitoring: Monitors and responds to online reviews on platforms such as Google, Facebook, and The Coordinator works with the Customer Relations Manager to address review opportunities, track volume and reputation scores, and report regularly to store General Managers.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborates with the Corporate Employee Relations Manager, Community Relations Manager, and other team members to develop innovative community engagement initiatives beyond sponsor ships and non‑profit volunteering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience in community relations, volunteer coordination, or a related role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and content creation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
