EmergencyServices Unit
Our Emergency Services unit specializes in providing direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Patients may include:
Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan‑of‑care intervention and serving as a patient‑care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Document patient care provided. Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. - BLS required.
- ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Two‑three years of experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
