Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Detox (PRN) Overview
North Alabama Shoals Hospital’s Medical Surgical Department offers nurses a supportive, patient‑focused environment where teamwork and high‑quality care are at the center of everything they do. Responsibilities- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care provided. Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
PRN – Days
Qualifications- Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- BCLS required.
- ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
