The North Alabama Shoals Hospital Emergency Department offers RNs a fast-paced, team-driven environment where high-quality emergency care makes a real impact every day. Nurses work alongside experienced providers and supportive colleagues to deliver timely, compassionate care across a wide range of emergency conditions, while growing their skills in a department that values teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered outcomes.

How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
What we're looking for
  • Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • BCLS required
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Two-three years of experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
